Guzheng & Poems - Storytelling Through Music

The Chinese Flagship Program, together with the Confucius Institute at SF State invites you to join us for this rare treat! Lead by Yuan Sha 袁莎, post graduate supervisor at Central Conservatory of Music for Guzheng, a top Chinese guzheng performing artist and educator, will present to you storytelling through music. Yuan Sha will be joined by famous cello player Wang Jian, as well as piano, guitar, harp and more in presenting to you Traditional and Contemporary Chinese and western songs.

This event is Free and open to the public.

Chinese New Year 2018

The SF State Chinese Program, together with our friends from the SF State Chinese Flagship Program and Confucius Institute, invite you to join us for our annual Chinese New Year Celebration on Friday, March 2nd, from 4-6 p.m.

We will welcome the Year of the Dog with a reception at SF State's Jack Adams Hall that will include exciting performances by our students faculty, staff and alumni, all manner of traditional Chinese New Year foods, drawing prizes and ample opportunity to make new acquaintances and reconnect with friends in the Chinese program.
